Net One Telecommunications 

Net One is a company dedicated to telecommunication services in Angola. It was created in 2010 with the mission to address the low rates of internet connectivity due to lack of telecom networks and infrastructure in the country.

  • 17,377 current clients
  • Reasonable prices make the services more accessible for students and independent professionals
  • 55% of individual clients inquired demonstrate satisfaction with the quality of Net One internet service
  • 57% of the private, corporate and institutional clients inquired consider the Net One internet signal fast and reliable
  • 54% of the surveyed admit satisfaction with Net One's value for money
  • All students inquired say that the service is good and accessible in terms of price. It represents a key resource for their researches
  • 91% businessmen and corporate clients state that Net One successfully improved their corporate performance, especially in their communication with stakeholders and outreach of activities


Rehabilitation Project of Telecommunication Infrastructures (PRIT)

  • Turnkey solution allowing more than 15M people to have access to Telecom-based solutions.

  • The project aims to connect the entire country using microwave technology that enables broadband voice, data, internet and video communication, integrating the basic network of Angola Telecom.

  •  More than 3000 Km of routes and 204 new sites have been installed throughout the country, benefiting the population of 18 Provinces.
  • 100+ Angola Telecom’s technical staff were trained for operation and maintenance of equipament.


Community Radio Stations

  • Building / rehabilitation / equipment of community radio stations all over the country to fight regional inequalities and isolation of remote areas, widen people’s access to information and entertainment, promote citizens participation and strengthen community ties
  • Estimated 78,540 km2 covered with new or reinforced radio broadcast signal
  • 10 local radio stations in 7 provinces in operation
  • 8 of them equipped with studios to make local broadcasts; 3 of which effectively broadcasting
  • Over 355.000 people served
  • Around 300 people regularly participating in community life through this media in 3 communities
  • 37 civil society organizations with access to air time in the radios
  • All local stations retransmit the main national radio channels: RNA Canal A, Rádio 5, N'gola Yetu, 3 of them combining their schedule with local content broadcast
  • 98.7% of people inquired refer feeling better informed and 94.8% refer feeling less isolated listening to the local radio
  • 83% of the inquired recognise the usefulness and interest of the local content radio programs to their communities

THEORY OF CHANGE
