Luanda Medical Center: increasing access to qualified health services
Angola has few reliable healthcare services that could effectively improve people’s health conditions. This often motivate people to search for options abroad. This problem was the inspiration for Luanda Medical Center (LMC) to set up a cluster of healthcare services that include appointments, laboratory and diagnostics, internment and even small surgeries.
In addition to this, LMC also offers a complete training and mentoring for medical professionals and other local staff. And equipment supply and installation in the several clinic facilities.
Only in 2016 more than 33.000 patients were treated. And at least 190 technical staff were trained locally. Finally, 35 medical insurance contracts made with Angolan and international companies operating in the country, permiting more pacient inclusiviness.
