CLESE: Changing the entrepreneurship environment in Angola
CLESE is a program designed and implemented by Focus Education which aims to solve a complex issue: the lack of effective capacity building programs for entrepreneurship in Angola.
Capacity building programs, advisory for employment search and placement, financing services through bank branches among other services have been designed by Focus Education to support actual and potential Angolan entrepreneurs.
Considering CLESE’s ultimate outcome is: to promote local economic development through empowered entrepreneurship. Focus Education capacitated over 9858 participants (mainly young university graduates, seeking to open their first business) through 232 entrepreneurship courses conducted in 10 centers. This allowed that 410 new businesses were created by graduates – average 40 per province.
